Description of long blocks.
All long blocks come with cylinder head(s) attached and valve train installed. Valve
covers, timing cover, and oil pan
are not included.
All long blocks have, lifters, camshaft, timing chain (belt), timing gears, valve
guides ,three angle cut seats, cam, rod and main
bearings, pistons, piston rings, rod bushings (if applicable), gaskets and oil pump.
All cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, crankshafts and connecting rods are cleaned and
shot peened and magnafluxed for cracks. All
bolt holes are tapped.
All oil galleys are hand brushed with white cleaning brushes and cylinders are hand
cleaned with cleaning solution .
Cylinder heads have seats cut . After assembly, heads are vacuum
checked for valve seating.
Crankshafts are ground and polished . Each oil galley is hand brushed .
All connecting rods are honed.

Professionally Remanufactured Chevy 4.3L Non-Metric Long Block
This remanufactured Chevy/GMC 262 CI (4.3L) long block engine is engineered for 1996–1999 applications and is ideal for propane and CNG forklift systems. Featuring the NON-metric block casting 090 with crank #255 and heads 113/114, this long block arrives with cylinder heads already installed for easier assembly. Although valve covers, timing cover, and oil pan are not included, the internal components are fully rebuilt to ensure dependable performance.
Complete Cleaning, Inspection & Machining Process
Each long block undergoes a detailed remanufacturing process where cylinder blocks, heads, crankshafts, and connecting rods are cleaned, shot-peened, and magnaflux-tested to detect cracks. All bolt holes are carefully tapped, oil galleys are hand-brushed, and cylinders are cleaned with precision tools for proper lubrication flow. Cylinder heads receive three-angle cut seats and are vacuum-checked after assembly. Crankshafts are precision-ground and polished, and connecting rods are honed to restore correct factory dimensions.
OEM-Grade Components & Rebuild Standards
This 4.3L Chevy remanufactured engine is built to meet or exceed OEM specifications using new Sivolite pistons, Hastings rings, SA Gear timing components, and a new Melling oil pump. The long block includes a premium Victor or Big 3 gasket set. The heads are fully rebuilt and CNC surfaced, while blocks are bored and honed to restore ideal cylinder wall finish. Crankshafts and camshafts are ground, hardened, and polished to OEM standards, and connecting rods are resized for precise factory-grade performance.
